Located north-west from Lošinj with the area of 18 sq. kilometers. It is covered with the sand dunes and the Mediterranean bush. The only settlement is the village of Unije on the coast of a wide bay. The fertile soil is suitable for vineyards and agri­culture.

The island is connected with Mali Lošinj by daily ship line, and in sea­son it has connection with Rijeka, a few times a week. The accommo­dation is organized in private houses.
