Island Murter
The island with the area of 17.7 sq. kilometers, with about 5000 inhabitants in four settlements. It is the largest island of the Šibenik archipelago. It is separated from the mainland by the narrow Murter channel that is bridged by 37.5 meter long bridge. 

The limestone part of the island is covered by scarce vegetation. The sunny coves are nice for swimming (Slanica, Jezera). The settlements are: Murter, Tisno, Betina, and Jezera. The in­habitants grow olives, fruits and ve­getables. They are also fishermen (Jezera, Murter) and cattle farmers (pastures on the island of Murter and on the islands of Kornati). The oldest inhabitants of the island were Illyrians (the remains of the settlement Collentum near Betina).

MURTER
The town on the island of the same name, 700 meters from the sea. It lies at the foot of Raduča (125 m), on the edge of the fertile field. Recently, it spread towards the cove Hramina in the north. West of the settlement, in the cove Slanica, there is a beautiful beach and a camp.

The town got its present name in 1715. The medieval parish church of St. Mihovil was recon­structed in 1770.

Marina: HRAMINA, located in the Hramina bay. It has 550 places on the floating docks and 250 on the dry docks, parking lot for 300 vehicles, cranes (15 and 50 tons), technical services. In the marina there are also shops, restaurant, terraces, tavern, and ten apartments for the accommodation guests. Marina has a laundry, toilets, exchange office, etc. It is opened through the whole year.

TISNO
The settlement partly on the island of Murter and partly on the mainland next to it. These two parts are connected with 37.5 meters long bridge. The inhabitants have vineyards, olive-groves and orchards. They are also fishermen, Tisno has been mentioned for the first time in 1474 and the parish church is from 1548.

BETINA
The village and port on north-eastern coast of the island. The inhabitants are fishermen and they also grow olives. Betina has beautiful sand beach. It is also shipyard for small and sport ships.

The settlement was founded in the 16th century by the inhabitant's o Vrana, when they fled before the Turks The parish church was built at the beginning of the 17th century. The archaeological excavations confirmed that the Illyrian and Roman town of Collentum was lo­cated in the vicinity, on the Gradina hill

Camp: Kosirina , Plitka vala
Marina: BETINA with 200 places on the floating docks and 80 on tin dry docks. It has crane (20 tons), travel-lift for weights up to 40 tons, and shipyard. Technical services and workshops, the hotel located one kilometer from the ma­rina, shops and exchange office are included in the marina complex. There is possibility to rent a ship. It is open through the whole year.

JEZERA
Tie village was named (Jezera, means lakes) after pools that appear in Karst valleys after hard rains. On the nearby Murter hill, there is very high tower that was probably used for signaling and communication with ships. There is also the cove with a beautiful beach. One of the largest fish markets in the country is also there.

Marina: ACI JEZERA - it is located in the village and sheltered from the winds. It has 220 places on the floating docks and 60 on the dry docks. Marina has reception desk, workshops, gas station and crane (10 tons). It is open through the whole year, and in the summer it has a sailing school.
